Snack:

  • Chicken taco dip and chips - 300 calories
  • 5 piece chicken nugget - 230 calories

So I skipped my workout yesterday, but I think I still did okay with my calorie intake.  It’s getting harder than I thought.  I’m not limiting myself all that much, but I love food.  lol!  I just want to eat so much!

  • Breakfast - 300 calories
  • Lunch - 200 calories
  • Dinner - 220 calories
  • Snacks - 530 calories
  • Total - 1250

So yeah, I didn’t do too bad.  It’s hard to drop the pounds though.  I keep fluctuating between my original 165 and 163.  Though that could be because I didn’t eat very well over the weekend and had a few setbacks last week because I was sick.  Anyways!  Back on track this week!  Hopefully this weekend’ll be easier!

Snacks:

  • Breakfast - 280 calories
  • Lunch - 265 calories

Day Six

Weight: 164.0

Lunch:

  • Club Sub on Wheat from Jersey Mike’s - 540 calories

Snack:

  • Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips - 280 calories
  • 2 Dark Chocolate Chunk cookie - 140 calories each

Drinks:

  • Strongbow - 160 calories

I skipped breakfast this morning.  Was running errands most of the morning and found myself out of time before it was time to leave for work.  So before work I stopped and ordered a sub.  This means I most likely won’t eat at my regular lunch time (4:30), or I’ll just snack at that time.  After work I’m going to the bar for a bite to eat before I head to Dave’s.  He’ll be home a little late, and I just don’t see the point in driving home just to turn around and drive back.  So I’m hoping I can go to Claddagh and get a nice salad or something and that’ll be it for the day.  We’ll see, and I’ll update everything before the end of the night.

So I ended up not eating dinner.  Really low calorie count for the day, though not the healthiest.  -shrugs-

  • Lunch - 540 calories
  • Snacks - 560 calories
  • Drinks - 160
  • Total -1260

  • Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips - 140 calories

Workout:

  • 20 minutes stretching
  • 50 tummy crunches

So I don’t have my posts for the last two days due to illness.  I strayed from my diet both days, but I did eat less since I knew I was taking in more calories in a shorter time.  I drank a lot of water and orange juice.  Feeling better today.  Back to work and everything.  Went to visit the doctor yesterday because I passed out in the shower and bumped my head.  Ow!  He gave me some antibiotics for the sinus infection and told me to rest.  Well gee thanks Doc!  Like I didn’t know that already.  At least I got some good drugs out of it since none of my cold medicine seemed to be working.

I also skipped my workout the last two days.  Though yesterday I did manage to drag myself out of bed and get outside in the nice weather before it got all windy and rainy like crazy.  Felt much better after being out.

  • Breakfast - 340 calories
  • Lunch - 290 calories
  • Dinner - 500 calories
  • Snacks - 280 calories
  • Total - 1410

So I went a little higher than I have been, but my goal is to stay under 1500 so I still made it!  Whoohoo!  I feel like I’m making decent progress.  Let’s hope I can keep it up!

  • Michelina’s Pepperoni Pizza Snacks - 200 calories

Dinner:

  • Michelina’s Salisbury Steak - 190 calories

Snack:

  • 2 Dark Chocolate chunk cookie - 140 calories each

Workout:

  • 20  minutes stretching
  • 50 tummy crunches

The snack bullet list is of all my snacks through out the day.  Didn’t see it necessary to put one in between each meal.  The whole point of these blog entries is to keep track of calories.  Not necessarily when I ate what I did.  That I’ll know and is also written in my day planner.  lol!  I’m a little obsessive-compulsive sometimes.

This morning started out really well.  Woke up around 9.  Got my little work out completed.  Went to the grocery to pick up a few things for breakfast for the rest of this week.  Picked up a couple perscriptions that needed filled.  Made my way home, made breakfast, went to work.  I’ve had a headache since last night.  Around 2 this afternoon I started sneezing and getting a running nose, and now I have a headcold.  Silly Ohio and it’s weather changes.  Of course I have to get a cold the first week I’m back on a diet and workout routine.  Just gotta push through.  The workouts will probably help the cold go away quicker.  That’s the hope anyways.

Lunches through the work week will probably be pretty boring, along with the dinners some nights.  I don’t want to eat really late, but since I don’t get off work until 9 some nights that’s hard to do.  Today I remembered to bring something to work with me.  This will not happen every day.  So some nights I will be eating late or skipping dinner.  Depending on the size of my lunch I might not be hungry later in the evening.  This happens sometimes.

  • Breakfast - 340 calories
  • Lunch - 200 calories
  • Dinner - 190 calories
  • Snacks - 450 calories
  • Total - 1180

Also, I know dark chocolate chunk cookies probably aren’t the best snack while on a diet, but I read an article somewhere that said “if you want a cookie eat it.  Limiting yourself is only going to make cravings stronger which will lead to you breaking the diet on a higher scale.”  So basically if I have a little something here and there while staying under my calorie count I’ll be less likely to break the diet.  So that’s what I intend to do.  Wish I could remember where I read it…  Maybe it was Cosmo?

Day One

Weight: 165.5

Breakfast:

  • Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal - 160 calories
  • 2 slices of toast - 180 calories

Lunch:

  • Grilled cheese (2 slices whole wheat bread, 2 slices provolone cheese) - 240 calories
  • Tomato Soup (1 1/2 servings) - 135 calories

Dinner:

  • Cheddar and Broccoli rice (1 1/2 servings) - 390 calories

Snack:

  • Chocolate ice cream - 150 calories

Workout:

  • 20 minutes stretching
  • 50 tummy crunches
  • 5 push ups (initial test for 100 push ups workout)

Today is the first day of my new diet and exercise routine.  At the end of the day I’ll also update the workout completed for the day.  I’m going to try the 100 pushup workout again.  Every morning I’m going to do my stretches, and three or four mornings a week I’ll do the pushups.

I really am going to work my hardest to update this daily.  I need a constant reminder to keep myself motivated to lose this weight.  I want to lose 25 pounds by August.  That gives me six months.  I think that’s more than enough time to drop the weight and be able to keep it stable.

One condition I’m placing on this is no more liqour or beer.  A glass of wine here or there, sure, but not beer or liquor.  I’m going to make it work this time.  I need to make it work this time.

  • Breakfast - 340 calroesis
  • Lunch - 375 calories
  • Dinner - 390 calories
  • Snack- 150 calories
  • Total - 1255 calories

The goal is to stay at or under 1500 calories.  The day’s not over yet.  I’m sure there’ll be one more snack before bed, but that’s not going to put me over my goal.  So go me for the first day!  The challenge will be the work week without soda.  Thankfully I have teas with caffiene so it shouldn’t be too bad.  Here’s hoping I can keep with it this time!

Weight Loss Follow Up

I did make the extra effort to plan my meals for two weeks and did some pretty intense grocery shopping last weekend.  I started the week out at 167.5 and I’ve fallen down to 164.5 as of yesterday morning.  I’m going to weigh myself every few days so as not to get discouraged by the ups and downs that I know I’m going to experience through the weeks.  The overall weightloss goal is to be down to 140 by the end of March.  I think this is completely doable.  I haven’t had any fast food this week (granted this is still the first week).  Went to Panera twice, but each time managed to stay inside my calorie count for that particular meal.  Though last night I fell over my count by going to Applebee’s before seeing Twilight last night.  But I’ve been under my count every other day this week, and don’t forsee any major problems this weekend.

Sunday is my mom’s family’s big Thanksgiving dinner.  Thankfully I’ve never been able to eat a ton like most people seem to be able to.  So I’ll have my smaller portion and stay under my count for the day.  It’ll probably be the only meal I eat that day.

I really think I can keep with it this time.  I’m actually enjoying keeping with it so far.  The frozen dinners for lunch aren’t the best, but they’re not terrible.  And actually having dinners at home is nice.  I keep having mild cravings for Sonic and Taco Bell, but I’m sure those’ll pass once I get used to not having them.

So there you have it.  I’m going to keep with it this time.  Yes yes.  I know I always say that, but I have some extra motivation this time around.  I really think I can stick with it.  Wish me luck on my journey!

Weight Loss/Better Eating

So I fell of the Lose weight/Get healthy bandwagon around the end of September.  And now, three weeks before Thanksgiving, I’m trying to get back on.  I’m not taking major strides right now, and I’m not going to deprive myself of delicious home cooked goodness for any reason.  I’m going to try to eat out less, maybe do some hardcore grocery shopping after I get paid this weekend.  Maybe make an attempt to plan my meals for the next two weeks.  That way I know what to get at the grocery, and I know it’ll be better for me than anything on the fly.  -shrugs-  This is all just thought right now.  Who knows if I’ll actually go through with it.  I really want to.  I really need to.  So hopefully I can make it happen.  :)  We’ll see.  The biggest problem is I don’t get home from work until around 9:30 and don’t want to cook.  So I’m going to have to start planning ahead and getting things ready before I leave for work or something.  It shouldn’t be too difficult once I set my mind to it.  -shrugs-

Anyways, I know this isn’t much of an update, but considering I’m at work I should probably be doing that instead.

Officially Fall, and How I Know

I know it’s fall because football season is well under way.  I know it’s fall because all of my favorite shows are starting this week or next.  And I suppose I know it’s fall because all the calenders tell me so.  It is now officially my favorite season.  Just waiting for the weather to get there also.

I’ve been keeping myself busy with a lot of overtime.  Last week I put in 50 hous, the week before it was 49.  This week it’s only 45, and next week 46.  We’ve been offered unlimited overtime through the holiday season so I’m thinking of working 50 hour work weeks for as long as I can.  I’ve actually put a lot of thought into this.  I think the overtime is easier for me to work since I’m stuck there until 9 regardless of how early I go in.  Typically my day starts there at noon, but I get so bored around the house in the mornings.  I’m thinking I could work 10-9 all week every week and be pretty okay with it.  That’s what I did last week and managed to keep my sanity.  So I think I’ll keep at that pace next month and see how it goes.  Not really much else to do anyways until the weekends it seems.

Also, it’s taken me some time to get used to having Saturdays off, but I’m really starting to enjoy Friday nights for a change.  lol  I haven’t really done much.  I think every Friday I’ve had night I’ve had movie nights since my schedule change.  At least I’m not having to crawl out of bed at 7 the next morning.

I ramble about work a lot, yes?  Probably because I spend more time there than I do anywhere else.  I still don’t like it there, but it’s not the job’s fault.  The job I can totally handle.  It’s management that drives me crazy.  My imidiate supervisor has no idea how to lead, and her manager has no idea how to lead.  So it’s just a mess.  Plus we’ve added six new people to the team, including a new team lead.  And none of them really know the job.  And the training they’re getting…  Well, it can’t really be called training.  It’s really just so sad.

Anyways!  Enough about work!  I really do ramble to much.  I started reading Twilight last week.  I’m completely absorbed by this book.  It’s been getting a lot of press and hype.  I wasn’t thinking it would be this good, but I’m really enjoying it so far.  I’ll have the first one finished by the end of the week I think.

Other geeky notes:  Really enjoying ITunes Genius feature.  Makes making a playlist sooooo easy!  <3

That’s about it for the update.  Had a great weekend, outside of the Packers loss.  :’(  I knew it was going to be a tough game…  Just didn’t think it would be that bad.  Hope everyone makes it through the week unscathed.  I will be doing my best to keep myself out of the way of any flying nerf darts at work… -hides-
